Three years ago, while visiting Sarajevo, we had an opportunity to visit Igman — site of the Nordic skiing events of the XIV Winter Olympic Games held in 1984.
It was a beautiful late winter’s day — a layer of fresh snow covered the ground and sparkled in the sun between passing snow storms. We hiked for a short distance and along the way I stopped to capture the beauty of the alpine scenery.
As I’m not a skier I’ve spent little time in the mountains during winter. I felt uncomfortable as the snow stormed around me at such a high altitude, but when the skies cleared and revealed moments like this, it was all worth it.

Wow, that is glorious!
Thanks, Stu. You don’t know how relieved I was to see the sun … I love visiting the mountains but preferably not during a snow storm … 😉 … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
