Sticking closer to home today because I was finally able to photograph the ever elusive Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal together in our garden out back.

Perched in the winter skeleton of a Japanese Maple they seemed quite content, perhaps contemplating the source of their next meal.

So thrilled to have them stop by …
