A few years ago we spent a couple of days in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia — a small city perched on the shores of Lake Okanogan in the heart of the Okanogan Valley.
The area is known for its wineries, fruit growing, hot, dry summers, and water sports, sailing being among the most popular.
This image depicts Spirit of the Sail, a statue located in the city’s centre. It captured my photographic imagination, and since I like pointing the camera into the sun I had some fun with this silhouette. I’m particularly fond of this image and the way the light plays with the shadow to make the statue appear almost translucent.
I love the light … it always wins.
Thanks for visiting …

Thanks so much! Appreciate your visit and comment. … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
Are you ever without your camera I wonder! 🙂
Not recently … there were many years when I just let life pass me by. Now I’m savouring, and capturing, as many moments as I can. I live in hope that the best is yet to come … 😉
That’s always the case! 🙂
That is an excellent photograph. I love it.
