Messing through my digital archives I came across this image … a sunrise over Venice.
I was aboard ship when this was taken and remember being in total awe as we sailed into our final port of call. It was as if the light reflected an ancient glow over this ancient city.
But there I go being a romantic again. Could be it was just smog.
I prefer my interpretation.

Eyes to Heart 
Beautiful image. There is undoubtedly some smog there, but the particles naturally occurring at the atmosphere’s lower levels also reflect and refract the sunlight as it approaches at a low angle, creating the colours we call sunrise or sunset.
