It’s sub-zero temperatures here in Southern Ontario, and I seem to be feeling the chill of it more this year than usual. Perhaps it’s because this ol’ girl turns a half century old tomorrow at 3:41 p.m. Pacific Standard Time ;-).
This week’s challenge gave me another excuse (not that I need one) to cast my mind back just two weeks to the warm, gentle breezes of beautiful Maui and the reflections of Hawaiian maidens performing the hula by the hotel pool.
The jewel tones in their costumes create a lovely, rippling reflection in the water — perfect subject matter for this challenge.
And alas, wouldn’t you know it, this trip down memory lane has made me wistful for some tropical sunshine and a tall, cold drink.
Oh well, I guess a glass of water and the warming glow of a gas fireplace will just have to do. 😉
