I’m not one for wishing my life away. Being a woman of a certain age I treasure time like gold. There never seems to be enough of it to do the things I feel passionate about, never mind the undesirable minutiae of bill paying and house work.
Still, here I am waiting for snow.
Not because I ski, because I don’t.
Not because I skate. I don’t do that either.
The only winter sport in which I indulge is walking my dogs … in the snow.
Sass and Abbey love to play in the snow. They rough and tumble and run, white frozen powder flying in their wake. It is a sight to behold and always makes me smile.
Yet, here it is, December 17 and 7C in Southern Ontario with still no snow on the ground and not a flurry in sight. Just unseasonable rain and mud and the grey messiness that goes with it.
Mud and collies, as you might imagine, do not mix.
But snow and collies? Magic!
So, while I may not be a fan of the cold, I do long for seasonal temps so we can have the first real snowfall and my girlies can frolic and play and enjoy some good, clean fun.
And so, I wait for the snow ..
Thanks for visiting …
Dorothy 🙂

We got our third >10 cm snowfall just yesterday. Lots here on the Eastern Edge. Your turn next :>)
The weather prognosticators keep forecasting but don’t deliver. Oh well, it’s early yet. … Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
You can have some of ours. We’ve been white since late October! Grrrr.
Hmmm … still waiting for an Alberta clipper … 😉
I’m sorry, I just haven’t had the time. Perhaps later. 😉
I’m with you kid! I long for the snow so that my faithful companion can, once again, be recognizable as a WHITE German Shepherd dog instead of a mud puddle on four feet … “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas” for many reasons!
There’s talk of a storm blowing in today … perhaps we’ll get our wish … 😉
