Home is where the heart is.
A huge part of the heart in our home is, and always has been, collies.
You’re looking at numbers three and four in my lifetime of dog ownership.
When we’re travelling, Abbey and Sass enjoy they’re own vacation at the puppy spa (aka the breeder).
For the brief period of time they’re away our home feels empty. Arhythmic.
Needless to say, the first thing to be scheduled upon our return is bringing the girlies home.
As they walk through the front door it’s as if the house can breathe again.
The heart-home beats rhythmically once more.
Yes, our home is filled with collie hair induced dust bunnies.
Yes, the girlies can be noisy, distracting and demanding.
Yes, they require three walks a day and a plentiful supply of dog treats.
But I cannot imagine my home, my heart, without them.

Thank you … 🙂
the girlies are very cute girlies indeed
Thanks … 🙂
I remember the Collie you had back in 1985, a beautiful dog, one of my favourites. So well behaved.
Thanks, Charleen … Yes, that was collie #1 — dear Shari who came over with us from England. The collie of my youth … Hope you’re well. … D 🙂
