It’s the dead of winter here in Southern Ontario.
The roads and walkways are ice-covered.
The thermometer reads -9C (feels like -17C with wind chill) and the forecast calls for drifting snow.
I need a splash of sunshine.
So, I dig into my image archives and find a warm memory.
This baby Robin paid our new bubble rock a visit on a particularly warm day last spring. I had a wonderful time observing him through the kitchen window as he smothered his big baby head in the bubble of water and revelled in its cool relief.
Makes me long for spring so I can get the garden all set up and enjoy, once more, my own seat by the rock — reading, meditating, being.
In the meantime, warm memories and the thought that spring is just four weeks away (Yay!) will just have to sustain me.

Shout Out
Starting today I’m including a Shout Out in every post — that is I’m going to highlight a blog that has particularly caught my attention during the past few days. Call it my own take on Freshly Pressed, if you will.
The photography of Tricia Booker Photography has certainly caught my eye this week. I’ve visited Tricia’s blog several times and “liked” many of her posts, including her most recent “Tagged H: Horse.” When you have a moment, please check out Tricia’s beautiful site. Stunning!
