Phoneography Challenge: My Neighbourhood — View From My Front Door

Dawn 1

This week my neighbourhood’s looking a little ugly.

With temperatures bulging over 0C the snow is melting leaving puddles and road sand and grey slush in its wake. Frankly, it simply does not invite the eye of this roving photographer.

Also, I tend not to use my phone for photography. I have an expensive camera given to me for my birthday a couple of years ago, and it’s the go-to piece of equipment when I’m feeling in the mood to capture life.

So, in answer to this week’s challenge I’ve selected an image captured recently with my Nikon D7000.

This was the view of the neighbourhood from my front door one pretty, snowy, cold, crisp morning a couple of weeks ago. I happened to look out the window just as the sun was peeping over the horizon and loved the light. I edited a little to pop the colours.

Thanks for visiting …

Dorothy 🙂
