Pantheon … Rome, Italy

Pantheon

Combing through my photo archives this week I came across this image of the Pantheon taken during our last visit to Rome in 2009 (far too long ago.)

Thanks for visiting …

Dorothy 🙂

  1. Hi Dorothy, I spent many a day and an evening around this beautiful monument in my years living in Rome. I distinctly remember one afternoon passed here with my then baby girl perched on my Dad’s lap under the shade of one of the umbrella’s at a bar there. The horse drawn carriages were parked near the fountain and the piazza was overflowing with people.

    • Thanks for your visit and comment. Your words remind me of our early evening walk from the Piazza Navona to our hotel near the Spanish Steps, a route which took us through the busy square outside the Pantheon and led to the capturing of this moment. It was certainly a hubbub of activity which, I didn’t appreciate at the time, was all part of its charm. You are fortunate to have spent so much time in Rome. Thank you for sharing your experience. … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
