Gaucho Games in Argentina

This is my 200th post at “Eyes to Heart.”
As time has passed since I stepped gingerly into the blogging world, my footprint has become bigger and bolder. Thanks to my followers and all the bloggers who have “liked” and commented on my creative offerings during the past two years or so, my voice is getting stronger. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this possible.

This week’s photo challenge asks us to highlight culture.
Three years ago we spent a week in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A day excursion took us to an estancia where polo ponies are bred, and while we were there the gauchos, the South American equivalent of cowboys, demonstrated their riding prowess through a series of mounted games.
For some reason I was caught off guard by the cultural importance of the horse to Argentina’s history and traditions but I was, nevertheless, pleased. It was one of the things I enjoyed most about our visit.
Thanks for visiting …
