This past weekend we had the opportunity to view the Tall Ships at Toronto harbour.
Thanks to a lovely invitation from some friends to go boating on Lake Ontario, we spent a hot Sunday afternoon coursing the waters round and about these amazing sea-faring vessels. It was both fun and exhilarating to get so close.
Herewith a few images for your viewing pleasure … and perhaps a few more in a future post.
Bon voyage!
Thanks for visiting …
Dorothy 🙂

Aren’t they so beautiful… I can just imagine all that creaking and bounding and the wind in the sails, the smell; of the sea…it must have been Something!!!
Actually, it was an all-round sensory experience. Riding beside the ships we certainly could hear the creaking and the wind in the sails. Never experienced anything quite like it. An afternoon on one of those darlings of the sea would be quite an experience too, I dare say … but on the kinds of calm waters we had that day. 😉 … Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Valerie.
What a glorious sight! I love your colourised images, makes me think of old paintings 🙂
Thanks, Sarah. I was being a little experimental …. It was an amazing experience to see the ships from the vantage point of the lake. 🙂 … Appreciate your comment … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
Experimental is good 🙂 Would love to see so many tall ships together!
I think it pretty much goes without saying that I loved this post and thinks it’s your best one yet.
Thank you … I don’t suppose that has anything to do with your love of ships? 😉
Partly that (alright a big PART) and partly because your photos turned out excellent. 🙂
