My response to this week’s photo challenge which asks us to interpret “The Golden Hour.”
I love the golden hour. Herewith a gallery of images to reflect my admiration and imagination.

Taken on Maui last November. There’s nothing quite like a Hawaiian sunset.
Cemetery at Glendalough
One morning I happened to be up early enough one to capture the sun’s rays in our front hallway. The golden sheen on Abbey the rough collie captured my imagination, so I did some experimenting.
This image was captured before a tsunami warning was issued after an earthquake hit the Queen Charlotte Islands last October. What I remember vividly was the number of “challenged” people standing at the end of the pier waiting for the tsunami to hit. I guess they thought they’d out run it.
Taken in Barcelona near Port Olimpic, February 2012. I simply love the dancing shadows on the sidewalk.
I’ll admit to being a bit intimidated by the idea of visiting Hiroshima in 2010. This beautiful sunrise our first morning there put me at ease.

Sunrise at Waikiki is kind of magical. So many people up early to experience it.
Thanks for visiting …

It’s a tough call, but I think it’s a toss up between Glendalough Sunset and Dancing Shadows for me. They’re all good, but those two are my favorites.
Thanks, Jeff. I’m glad to like them. 🙂
