Last night an unexpected, long-lasting snow squall hit our area creating an instant winter wonderland.
The first snowfall is always my favourite, especially when I can enjoy it from home. 😉

Yes, it really is. Especially with all the Christmas lights reflected in it at night. Really pretty. 🙂
I hope we get some decent snow here this winter! Unlike many in the South of England I relish the onset of real winter, white snow drifting from trees, plump birds at the feeders and quiet streets 🙂
England is very pretty in the snow, though I know the infrastructure is not really in place for a heavy dump of it. I hope you do enjoy a dusting though. 😉
My favourite ever comment on TV about England not coping with the snow was London mayor, Boris Johnson, saying it was “the wrong kind of snow “! Hilarious 😉
LOL … That is hilarious!!!
Boris is a legend!!!
Great shot. Can’t wait until we get some snow here in Maryland
Thank you. I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot of it this winter. … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
Nice when you can enjoy it thru your picture window.

Love the First snow of the season. There is always something so special about it. Love our beautiful seasons.
Me too! 🙂
Beautiful, but brrr.
Yeah, I hear that. It’s really cold out there.
Thank you … 🙂
How lovely! I would love to witness this snow-magic someday. 🙂 Enjoy winters, Dorothy.
Thank you. When you do get to participate in a snow day, wear your woolies. It’s cold!!!! … Be well, Dorothy 🙂
Love this Dorothy! As much as winter can be a tough season to endure it does have a tremendous beauty about it as you capture. Thanks!
This is true, Mike. It’s also a great excuse to hibernate and write. 😉
