Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflections

This reflection written during our visit to England last fall.
An Ode to England
A part of my heart
In England lies,
Upon the green hills
Under grey skies.
By acorns grown old,
In villages quaint,
By waters run cold,
By the church of a saint.
Embraced by a wood,
Entranced by a dale,
Enamored of history
Hearty and hail.

Really really great shots, you took them all? I am always stunned at the quality of the photographs entered here, they are amazing and the fact people just ‘have them’ lol, they are like magical shots once in a lifetime, love the swan especially
Thank you so much. I believe in the magic of a moment so the fact you have made reference to the images being “magical” means a lot. Thanks for stopping by and be well … Dorothy 🙂
I do like the garden gate shot, Dorothy!

Great photos Dorothy, I especially love the swan.
Thanks, Jeff. I’m particularly fond of that image as well. Love how the fire of the swan’s beak corresponds with the fire in the water. … As always your feedback is much appreciated. Be well, Dorothy 🙂

Dorothy, these are marvelous photos and I enjoyed your poetic thoughts as well. Haven’t been to England for a time and would love to go back. I’d love to go to Bath again, being a huge Georgette Heyer fan and having not been there since the 70’s. So I really liked seeing your photo of the baths.

Thank you. We loved our visit there last year. It’s such a pretty area of the country. When I visit England I am always in amazed by the antiquity, and that we have the privilege of seeing evidence of the past and how it coloured history. I am always grateful that progress, wars and economic factors have not killed our link to the past completely. … I hope you get to visit Bath again soon. It is a gem. … Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Be well, Dorothy 🙂
