Leaving Pitti

~*~

I love the play of light and shadow.

During our many travels in recent years I have, quite by chance, created a series of images dubbed the “International Man of Mystery.”

Who is that tall, dark stranger?

My husband, actually, but you’ll only ever see him from behind or in the shadows. It adds to the mystery. 😉

Usually these magical moments happen by chance. I’ll see the mystery man in a certain situation and scramble to capture it before the moment’s gone.

This time we orchestrated opportunities a little more, but generally I try to keep the moments as spontaneous as possible.

This image was taken as we were leaving the beautiful Palazzo Pitti in Florence last month.

Thanks for visiting …

Dorothy 🙂

  1. Your eyes are after my own heart! I have just discovered your blog through Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness post. I love your images but also what you write about them. Thank you.
