Weekly Photo Challenge: Contrast
~*~
~*~
I love the play of light and shadow.
During our many travels in recent years I have, quite by chance, created a series of images dubbed the “International Man of Mystery.”
Who is that tall, dark stranger?
My husband, actually, but you’ll only ever see him from behind or in the shadows. It adds to the mystery. 😉
Usually these magical moments happen by chance. I’ll see the mystery man in a certain situation and scramble to capture it before the moment’s gone.
This time we orchestrated opportunities a little more, but generally I try to keep the moments as spontaneous as possible.
This image was taken as we were leaving the beautiful Palazzo Pitti in Florence last month.

wonderful!! Both, the tall dark stranger and the beautiful passageways of Florence.
Thank you … 🙂
Not only is the contrast striking, but the man walking out of the doorway. You’ve captured the energy in his striding out. It takes us with him.
Thanks. So glad you notice the energy. To me that is an important part of the image. The fact that came through for you makes me smile. 🙂
Your eyes are after my own heart! I have just discovered your blog through Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness post. I love your images but also what you write about them. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I’m pleased that my words and images have touched you so meaningfully. Be well and thanks for stopping by and following … Dorothy 🙂
