Indiana, my other rescue kitty and brother to Jasper, has grown into a lumbering 17 lb bundle of fur and fun.
We share a special connection because he actually picked me.
One of four tiny, abandoned kittens rescued by a local horsewoman from a cardboard box left on the side of a busy road, this little guy kissed my hand with his tiny sandpaper tongue as I held him for the first time.
And that was it. I was smitten; he was coming home. And since I wanted two kitties of the same gender his little brother came with him.
I wonder, sometimes, about their two sisters. If nothing else, they became two well-fed and busy barn cats.
