I don’t know that I have ever felt more enveloped in a culture than when I’ve been in Italy.
Perhaps that’s why I always want to go back.
To lose myself in its art, history, food, music, beauty is heavenly.
Last summer we rented a beautiful villa in Tuscany (pictured) with five other couples. We all agree it was one of the most, if not the most, amazing vacation any of us had ever experienced.
One morning the hills surrounding the villa were enveloped in mist giving the entire area an otherworldly appearance.
This moment captured as we forced ourselves to leave for a day at Cinque Terre.

There are several villa rental websites. I don’t remember exactly which one we went through but here is a link to this particular villa. All of our party would return in a heartbeat. Some of us were reminiscing at a gathering last night. Such an amazing experience.
