Weekly Photo Challenge: Half Light

My corner of the globe is crawling out from under the ravages of a devastating ice storm that hit in the past 36 hours. Many beautiful trees have been lost on our farm and in the surrounding area; the power is out and, due to fallen trees and power lines which have made the local roads impassable, I feel powerless to help my friends there who are struggling to water the horses and clean up debris. On the upside, people and horses are safe, and there’s no structural damage to any of our farm buildings.
So, while I process this rattle to my psyche I present for this challenge a favourite memory of half light from our trip to Firenze two years ago. And as much as I would love to wax poetic, I’m drawing a blank. Any inspiring thoughts would be much appreciated.
Tomorrow we head to the valley to assist with the long clean up.

Power finally back on after three days. Clean up has begun and will be a long process. … As for WP, I’m not on it as much as you may think.
