Firenze Half Light

Firenze Half Light

Weekly Photo Challenge: Half Light

~*~

My corner of the globe is crawling out from under the ravages of a devastating ice storm that hit in the past 36 hours. Many beautiful trees have been lost on our farm and in the surrounding area; the power is out and, due to fallen trees and power lines which have made the local roads impassable, I feel powerless to help my friends there who are struggling to water the horses and clean up debris. On the upside, people and horses are safe, and there’s no structural damage to any of our farm buildings.

So, while I process this rattle to my psyche I present for this challenge a favourite memory of half light from our trip to Firenze two years ago. And as much as I would love to wax poetic, I’m drawing a blank. Any inspiring thoughts would be much appreciated.

Tomorrow we head to the valley to assist with the long clean up.

Thanks for visiting …

Dorothy

  2. I’m sorry to hear about the ice storm but pleased you’re safe. I hope you are finding some comfort in sharing something so beautiful. It’s brought back memories of Florence – such a beautiful city.

  3. A beautiful, serene photo in what must be a very chaotic time for you now. Sorry your area was hit so hard by the storm. Be careful with the clean up…stay safe! ❌⭕️❌⭕️❌

    • Power finally back on after three days. Clean up has begun and will be a long process. … As for WP, I’m not on it as much as you may think. My horse blog has been terribly neglected, however I will post there this week. … I post as the spirit moves and time allows. 😉 … Looking forward to seeing more from your blog soon. 💐
