A nod to beautiful Alberta.
Pictured is the Red River Valley near Drumheller in the south east. An area known for its Badlands and dinosaur digs. In its own way it offers as great a felt sense of the scope and scale of Earth as the Rocky Mountains to the west.
Be well …

Lovely photo of a place I’d never heard of except in a song we sang as children:
Come and sit by my side if you love me;
Do not hasten to bid me adieu,
But remember the Red River Valley,
And the girl that has loved you so true.
…more verses of course, but your photo took me waaaaay back to something I’d forgotten. xxx
How lovely!! Nice to hear from you again. 😊
That song is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title. Lovely shot, Dorothy.

Thank you … 😊
Lovely shot. Having visited Calgary I know mostly the western views.
Most people do. The south east is hot and arid in the summer. The topography is breathtaking and there are many ghost towns. Drumheller is about two hours east of Calgary. I hope you can visit some day. Be well …
