Usually I like to keep my photographic disasters to myself. However, since today’s challenge calls for us to lay bare our creative vulnerability, I decided to step out from behind the veil of perfection I tend to hide behind and own the errors of my ways.
On this occasion I thought I was being so clever. JJ was asleep on top of his little tree, his reflection in the sunny window. “Oooh! I really must capture that,” I thought to myself with glee. And I did … that and all the dirt and cobwebs on the window, too! That’s when I realized what a lousy housekeeper I am. (I’d far rather be creating.)
And the image is over-exposed.
Oh well, my intention was good.

On a trip to Sydney, Australia, several months ago, we stopped by the Hyde Park Barracks Museum to catch a glimpse of history.
These images were taken in the upstairs rooms. The silhouettes of convicts standing (and suffering) by the window were so fantastic with the light behind them I just had to capture them.
